California-based Bay Area black metal mixers, Deafheaven and Boss-de-Nage, will be in the studio this weekend, recording a split to be released sometime this Fall on Flenser.

[We had the opportunity to catch Deavheaven at Will’s Pub as well as have an interview with lead vocalist George Clarke earlier this year.]

Deafheaven will be recording their take on post-rock group Mogwai’s “Punk Rock / Cody” and Boss-de-Nage will be recording an entirely new song.

“We’ve been looking forward to this project for a while,” Clarke said about the split. “It’s very exciting to be working with two of the most innovative and forward-thinking staples in the Bay Area, Bosse-de-Nage and Flenser Records.”

Also, Deafheaven are set to release their 2010 Demo on vinyl with Sargent House around October 1. You can see the artwork, along with their new logo, directly below and stream the original demo HERE.
